Mike Wood is lead attorney at the Law Office of Michael L. Wood in Lincoln County. He was born and raised just north of Atlanta in Gainesville, Georgia. He began his college career on an academic scholarship to the University of North Georgia. From there, he pursued his law degree at the University of Tulsa where he served as student body president as well as received the highest award for trial practice.
Mike’s legal career started in private practice where he’d spend years seeking justice for clients in criminal, bankruptcy, family and personal injury matters. Mike’s drive to see his clients get the justice they deserved made him naturally gravitate toward the courtroom.
“The impact that true justice can have on someone, on a family, is extreme. It should not be taken lightly and should be guarded with fierce diligence.”
Mike served as the felony domestic violence prosecutor and also represented the Family Support Division for the Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney’s office where he pursued actions for paternity, child support and foreign judgments. Mike has also prosecuted hundreds of cases with the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Mike likes to say: “only the truth matters.”
